The first document is a complete list of birds reported in the county since the 1950s based on observations, reports, readings, and data from eBird and the Carolina Birding Club. You are welcome to use the document for reference or research as long as you provide credit. Note that the common and scientific names may differ slightly, and descriptions are observation based

New Hanover County Bird Study Version 3 (May 2021, 2021)

This is the most up to date version of the NHC Bird Study which I completed on May 15th, 2021. The document utilizes research from eBird.org, the Carolina Birding Club Chat Database and printed resources to analyze all recorded species of birds in New Hanover County North Carolina. You are free to use or download this document but please provide credit to the author if it is used in any research.

Below is a map of bird survey points I took during a GIS Class at UNCW. This map can be used by anyone who wants to know where I stop to birdwatch and conduct my studies. The data collected using ArcGIS 123 Survey while the map was created in ArcGIS Online.
